Sessions with Dr. Green can be either via video or phone. The first session is generally 60 minutes, and follow up visits may be 30-45 minutes.
During the first visit, Dr. Green will ask you plenty of questions to learn about your current symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors that may be impacting your health. We may start by gathering more information by ordering labwork/imaging, requesting previous records, and/or providing tools to help you track your symptoms. Often you’ll be given some diet/lifestyle recommendations to apply while we await results and past records.
During follow up visits, we will check in on changes to symptoms, review any labs/imaging, and build on previous treatment plans. You may be recommended supplements, medications, given referrals to other specialists. If things like stress/trauma are thought to be a contributor to your symptoms, we may spend time during the visit exploring these with mind-body therapies (more info below).
You’ll also have plenty of chances to ask questions and get clarification on the treatment plan during every visit.

The main philopsophy of naturopathic medicine is to find and treat the root of your symptoms using diet, lifestyle, herbs, and nutritional supplements.
Naturopathic doctors attend a 4+ year medical school where we study the fundamentals of medicine including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and pharmacology. We have many more hours of training in nutrition compared to medical doctors, and also study herbal medicine, bodywork, and other therapies.
Naturopathic doctors licensing varies from state to state. I am licensed in Washington state, and am able to order labs, imaging, and prescribe most pharmaceuticals.

Currently I do not accept any insurance. I DO provide superbills after each visit upon request, which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I cannot guarantee reimbursement as it is dependent on your individual insurance plan and their coverage of out-of-network providers.
If you would like to work with me but are unable to afford services, reach out to me to discuss payment plan options.

Yes I do! I order standard bloodwork, speciality labs such as salivary hormone testing, stool and breath tests to evaluate digestive health, and urine tests to evaluate for toxicity, metabolic health, and nutritional status.
Imaging is ordered through whatever imaging location is most convenient for you.
Currently I use Rupa labs for bloodwork and specialty tests—I use them because they are very transparent in costs so you aren’t surprised. They have options to go to a blood draw site or have a phlebotomist come to you. Specialty labs are generally shipped to you.
I am working on becoming contracted with LabCorp so that you have the option of having bloodwork covered by insurance.

Yes I am able to! While my philosophy is to start with more gentle options such as diet, lifestyle, and herbal/nutritional supplements, there are many instances where pharmaceuticals are very helpful.
I am very experienced in management of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and thyroid medications, to name a few. I work with both standard and compounding pharmacies.
Note: I am unable to prescribe scheduled medications (examples: opioids, benzodiazepenes such as Xanax, testosterone).
-
Yes! I primarily see women, but I work with men as well.
I mainly see men for preconception care and fertility issues, as men are an important part of the equation. There is so much more than just getting a semen analysis to optimize your health when preparing for a baby!
If you are a man and would like to see me for something besides fertility care, please reach out to see if we are a good fit!

It depends on what condition we are treating and what your preferences and goals are!
I frequently recommend:
Diet modifications
Lifestyle strategies (exercise, sleep optimization, reducing toxin exposures, stress management)
Herbal/nutritional supplements
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
Mind-body therapies (such as hypnosis, counseling)
I frequently refer to specialists such as acupuncturists, nutritionists, fertility specialists, and others for additional support or evaluation.

Yes! I am very experienced in prescribing and managing HRT, including bioidenticals. I work with both standard and compounding pharmacies depending on your needs.
Please note, I do not have a DEA license so I am unable to prescribe testosterone.

Stress, trauma, and our mindset have a tremendous impact on our overall health. Part of my philosophy of treating the root cause of an illness along with providing holistic care means that we are frequently exploring the emotional roots of your symptoms. Some tools I love for this:
Hypnosis: This involves being induced into a relaxed state so that your subconscious is more accepting of new, positive ideas. You are still in complete control while you are in a hypnotized state.
Counseling: fairly self-explanatory, this involves discussing your issues with a knowledgable and compassionate listener who can reflect back to you to gain better understanding of yourself and to develop a workable plan to reach your health goals.
Dreamwork: we discuss strategies to optimize dream recall and explore any dreams that feel significant to gain insight into your subconscious.
